About Us

Dedicated to tackling poverty.

Grow Against Poverty (GAP) Kenya, established on September 27, 2007, is a registered NGO (Certificate No. OP. 218/051/2007/4760) dedicated to empowering grassroots women and youth through initiatives in Education, Health, Environment, Micro-finance, Technology & ICT, Peace Promotion, Gender Issues, Agriculture, and Governance. Our vision is a world free from poverty and conflict. We focus on capacity building, providing tools and training to help communities maximize social and economic opportunities. Key programs include Pedal Power for Schools, Organic Vegetable Gardens, Computer Literacy Program, School Lunch Program, Classroom Construction, Green Fields Initiative, Community Farm Inputs Support, and the Prevent Period Poverty Program, which addresses menstrual hygiene challenges to ensure uninterrupted education for girls. We have improved school attendance, nutrition, digital literacy, and supported local agriculture, directly benefiting hundreds of students and households. At GAP Kenya, we are committed to sustainable development and creating a brighter future for vulnerable communities.
